Happy New Month Everyone,
Welcome to June 2024. I hope the first five months of 2024 have been amazing for you. This post is centered on Revelations 20:14-15.
Revelations 20:14-15, a passage from the Bible, says, "14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire". This passage is a metaphorical representation of the final judgment, where those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will face eternal separation from God.
As the days, weeks, and months go by, we must remember that we are on this earth for a certain period.
The structure of life makes it so easy to get caught up in the routines, lifestyles, and challenges.
Life is truly a gift from God. We must understand that as we continue to live, we offer our lives genuinely and honestly to God for the Book of Life. The 'Book of Life' is a metaphorical book in which God records the names of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, ensuring their eternal life with Him.
Life's brevity is a stark reminder that we cannot control our time here. While we all hope for a long and fulfilling life, it's crucial to secure our place in eternal life, regardless of our earthly tenure. As verse 15 vividly illustrates, our names will be scrutinized in the Book of Life. It's a sobering thought, but it's the reality we must confront.
This is a weighty topic, but it's one we should reflect on regularly. Our purpose on this earth is to live in a way that pleases GOD every day. GOD didn't create the world without a reason; we are here with a purpose, and we must live with that understanding.
A reminder that Heaven is the Destination.
