Welcome to the Lavender Woman

Updated: Jan 2

Welcome Lavender Woman. I am so glad to welcome you to the Lavender Woman. Lavender Woman is an inspirational, inspiring, and motivating blog that will change and impact your life in the best way possible. The mission of the Lavender Woman is to equip young women to impact lives for Christ. Through this blog, I hope to inspire, influence, and motivate you to become the best version of yourself. As young women, we are one of the most vulnerable targets in our world today. So many things call and draw our attention daily, but together, we can learn and impact lives for Christ.

Lavender is one of the most beautiful plants in the world. It symbolizes purity, silence, devotion, caution, serenity, grace and calmness. As young women, we should have the qualities of a Lavender. These qualities should be exhibited in all aspects of our lives. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity." The purity of a woman defines who she is. In today's society, purity is often dismissed, and impurity is glorified, but God instructs us in 1 Timothy 4:12 to be examples of what purity is to the world. The Lavender Woman will inspire you to remain pure in a world telling and teaching us not to be.

As mentioned above, the lavender plant symbolizes serenity, calmness, and silence. There is great power in being silent; the world typically views silence as cowardice, foolishness, or weakness, but that is far from the case. The Bible says in Proverbs 17:28 that "even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent."

As young women in Christ, we should be very mindful of what we say; we ought to think carefully before speaking because a wise woman can be deemed foolish simply by the words she utters.

Devoting our youth years to finding our passions, interests, talents, and gifts, but, most importantly, discovering our purpose is very important. God has deposited many great gifts and talents into every young female. We should be intentional in seeking and finding our purpose each day. The Lavender Woman will teach and help you find your purpose and begin walking in it.

Like the lavender plant, as young women, we must understand the importance of caution. Caution applies to everything, such as making friends, career choices, etc. Choices made during our youth can significantly impact the rest of our lives. Ephesians 5:15-17 says, "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand the will of the Lord." We should make the most of our youth years and walk carefully to maximize our time on the earth.

Looking at the picture above, you can almost feel the serenity and peacefulness of the lavender field. And that seems like a place you would love to dwell in. Just as in the lavender field, as young women in Christ, we must be peaceful because a peaceful woman is wise. We should have control over our spirits and be peaceful. Proverbs 25:28 says, "Like a city that is broken into and without walls is a man who has no control over his spirit." We should always be in tune with our spirit.

Along with being peaceful, we should be full of grace. We should carry ourselves with poise, respect, and honor. The way we view ourselves will determine the way others will address us.

The Lavender Woman will equip and inspire you weekly to become your best version. I cannot wait to embark on this journey with you. As you learn more about yourself and your purpose, inform other young women about the Lavender Woman. Together, we can become strong and godly young women impacting our world for Christ. This is a safe space, so feel free to leave any questions about being a Lavender Woman. Every Friday at 12 pm EST, a new blog will be published in faith, family, and lifestyle categories. Be on the lookout. God Bless You As You Do So.
